Get Connected
The Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) opened Cycle 4 of the Get Connected scheme for expressions of interest on 31st January 2011.
The grant provides care homes and other adult social care providers with up to £20,000 of funding to cover the provision of:
- Equipment such as laptops, desktop PCs, routers
- Installation of broadband
- Software and training that are integral to the improvement of access to ICT by service users, family, carers and staff.
- Wireless network infrastructure
The grant is fully funded with no contribution from the care home necessary. The scheme aims to benefit both carers and service users.
